I could be misquoting horribly, but I believe Lewis Black said in his last HBO special, that while this current administration provided more than plenty of material for the stand-up, the fact that they do is a sad, sad thing.
Of course, one or both of us could have been drunk at the time, so if my quote is off, I apologize.
I do know that Moe Berg was right (and I quite clearly remember this quote) that you've got to laugh to prevent yourself from crying; which is quite fitting when attributed to the current administration and the possible next one.
This is why this post is dedicated to the humorous side of politics.
While the Dems have a crowded filed with a host of Great Presidential Hopes (epileptics beware), the GOP are torn between Rudy "Man Enough To Be A First Lady" Giuliani and a guy who claims to be a lifelong hunter, but has been hunting less times than Rudy has been married.
In fact, if Bill Clinton or my favorite political loudmouth James Carville are to be believed, Al Gore is ready to join the race with the rest of the Dems.
The Republicans on the other hand are in bad shape. I know some of you may already keep up with The Daily Show or crooksandliars.com, but should you have missed it, or been busy like me, your link for today is Jon Stewart's take on the current GOP field.
